Gun Shooting
Definition: Subgenre of the on-rails shooting genre in which the player fires his avatar's weapon
by pointing at the screen an input device typically modeled on a ballistic weapon.
Note that the reason we chose the Japanese designation for this genre over the Western one (light gun shooting) is
because 1) There are gun shooting games that use positional guns instead of light guns (e.g. Operation Wolf,
Silent Scope, L.A. Machineguns, and others), and 2) The genre has been historically dominated by the
Japanese, whilst Westerners continue to denigrate the entire genre with retarded labels such as "cheap
quarter-munchers" and the like.
